The two heroes, Ultraman (C Type) and Merliger, join forces as they protect Singapore’s Changi Airport control centre.Ultraman C Type takes a Spacium Beam pose, while Merliger stands guarding with its tail shielding the control tower. Merliger, the manifestation of the Merlion's* spirit and the guardian deity of Singapore, appeared in the web series "Ultraman: A New Power of Singapore”.
 
Each painstakingly handcrafted statue is individually hand-painted with the famous XM quality finish, and comes in a bold, dynamic, and story-laden style. XM Team worked with acclaimed sculptor Yoshiki Fujimoto to sculpt the highly articulated Ultraman (C Type). Each crease and fold is individually sculpted and hand-painted to create the realistic look of form-fitting latex suit.
 
*Merlion is Singapore’s national icon, a mythical creature made up of lion’s head and fish’s body. The fish body represents Singapore's origin as a fishing village, while the lion head represents Singapore's original name—Singapura—meaning "lion city”.
 
Background:
To mark 55 years of diplomatic relations between Singapore and Japan, the Singapore Tourism Board collaborated with Ultraman in 2021 and produced a special video to commemorate this special milestone. Watch it here: https://youtu.be/Qsc4wn2UvEg
